I recently had an endoscopy done and was diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus... I was looking for others out there who have the same condition. I seem to be the only one in here!

Sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with BE. I was diagnosed with BE in April, 2008, and am presently free of it after having my BE ablated with the Barrx procedure.

I would appreciate it if you would give me some more information:

1. Did you get a 2nd opinion of your biopsy slides?

2. How long (in cm) is your Barrett's segment?

3. Did the pathology report mention that you had dysplasia?

4. Are you taking medication to lower your stomach acid?

5. What part of the country are you located in? I am located in SE Nebraska.


I have a lot of information on BE which I think may be quite helpful to you.
