I am a 47 year old female with four children and two grandchildren. I started having problems with my bowel in 2004. I started going to the doctor regularly. I was told I had hemroids [hemorrhoids], then diverticulitis, then hemroids again. This was over a two year period. I asked for a colonoscopy and was told that I was “too young” to have this procedure, and it would be a waste of time.
