My husband has been diagnosed with Stage IV stomach cancer, which has metastisized to the spine. He is now finished with the second cycle of chemo. It was doubtful at first that he would even survive this long, but he is doing well. The chemo is tough but it seems to be working.

My husband was diagnosed with Stage IV stomach cancer on June 14, 2007. His also metastisized to his spine. He had Cyberknife radation on his spine and it seems to be helping. He has just started his 2nd cycle of Chemo which is part of a clinical trial. He just had a scan and the tumor outside his stomach is about 1/3 of the original size. The Dr. said it would be shrinking inside his stomach as well. He goes back in a couple of weeks to the hospital who did the Cyberknife to see what the tumor on his spine is doing.

We have been on a rollercoaster since he has been diagnosed. Luckly he has no problem eating only poor appitite from the chemo. I can't believe how many people are affected by this. I have come across 3 people besides my husband who have stage IV cancer just through my friends and family. Please let me know how your husband is doing. My husband is 55 years old.
