In most cases, nausea does not require treatment and the condition resolves once the cause is eliminated. Small amounts of clear liquids (e.g., broth, ginger ale), ice chips, soft foods (e.g., gelatin), and bland foods (e.g., crackers, dry toast, rice, bananas) may be helpful.

Dairy products (e.g., milk, ice cream) and heavy meals often worsen nausea and should be avoided. Severe nausea can be treated with anti-nausea medications (called antiemetics)....Read the full article
